"Today, for faith to grow, we must lead ourselves and the persons we meet to encounter the saints and to enter into contact with the Beautiful."

Pope Benedict XVI

"This world in which we live needs beauty in order not to sink into despair. Beauty, like truth, brings joy to the human heart, and is that precious fruit which resists the erosion of time, which unites generations and enables them to be one in admiration."

Pope Paul VI

"I invite you, therefore, to cherish beauty, and beauty will heal the many wounds that mark the hearts and souls of the men and women of our day."

Pope Francis

Last Saturday I dropped off Saint Jacinta with Dee-dee Mihaliak at The Domestic Monastery in Avon , CT. The painting has been on loan for several years, so now that it's available again, I'm thrilled to offer it through this lovely Catholic gift shop and gallery.

Commissioning a piece of art

I am more than happy to work with you on a one-of-a-kind work of art for your home, church, or organization. My time frame for completing smaller drawings, such as saint drawings or sketched portraits, is fairly short: approximately two to five weeks. As larger paintings, especially works of Sacred Art, require more time, time frame will be discussed with you along with the details of the painting.

Obviously, cost of artwork commissions varies according to scope, but you can get an idea of pricing based on the works listed under "Available Works."

One of my great loves is making art for churches and monasteries, working with and around the existing structures to create a space of beauty and devotion. My background and experience in fine woodworking allows me to craft paneling, triptychs, unique framing, etc. to ensure the artwork perfectly fits the space.

While the Church has long had the honor and responsibility of being a great patron of Sacred Art, I am aware that many parishes and religious communities today are under financial strain that make such patronage seem out of reach. If you represent a parish or religious group that is interested in purchasing a piece of fine art but are in need of financial assistance, please contact me to discuss funding possibilities.
